Austin Izzo Project Feedback

I really liked this project and it seems very thorough and very well done! It also stood out by having a clear "flow" through the project page which is important to tell a story. Nice!!

A couple brief comments are included below on some suggestions.

Part I

• Might be an idea to show these regional differences spatially on a map of NYS.
• Not sure why there are sections both above and below 100%. They deviate only slightly so I am not sure if it is simply the visual being used or the data. If it is the later I don't think I would have a good explanation for why a specific region would have greater than 100%.

Part II

• Edited a misspelled word
• Something that I wasn't sure on is what "fills" the rest of the bar since they appear to be percents of a total (which means the total should all be 100%) I would have thought they would all be up to 100%.

Part III

• I really liked that you highlighted some of the abnormalities in the latter visuals. This is important!
• Another suggestion might be to address the noticeable difference between NYC and the rest of the regions.

Part IV

• The orange colors are a bit hard to distinguish (especially for someone with a visual impairment).
• In my opinion splitting up years by 0.5 seems a bit abnormal.
• Lastly, it might be an idea to display a scatter plot between each data set to compare the correlation between the two!

Again, I really enjoyed this project and thought it was very thorough. I look forward to seeing the final iteration!
