2.4 Basic Configuration—Sequence Editor

The sequence is where we manage items within our sequence The title bar buttons will (in order):
- Add a new word / character sequence item with the
- Remove the currently selected sequence item
- The allows to add more words / characters to this sequence item only
- The allows you to configure the selected item's options in a
drop-down menu:
- Advanced-mode feature: Probability allows to define the probability of the sequence item to be included in the password. The default value is "Always". Percentages less than 100 can make your password weaker.
- Capitalize allows to define how the word will be capitalized (Never|Proper|Always|0-99). Numeric values, like 30, means that 30% of the letters (randomly selected) will be capitals
- Substitutions allows to define how substitutions will apply (Never|Always|0-99). Numeric values, like 30, means 30% of chances that a substitution applies
- Length allows to specify how long the char string will be
- Advanced-mode feature: Length Strength allows to specify the probability that a character sequence will reach its full length. The default value is "Always". Percentages less than 100 can make your password weaker. If the character sequence does not reach full length, there is an equal chance of generating any length less than the full length.
- Include defaults defines if the selected item's words or characters include the words or characters from the default list, or are wholly defined by the item-specific list configured for the selected item.
- The and allow for ordering the sequence items
Each word or character item has an "override list" that you can edit with the . If you don't use this button, words for an item are chosen from the default list. If you specify an override list, the words in the override list will be added to the default list before choosing a word. Or, you can choose to fully replace the word list with the override list.
Editing a word item's override list uses the "Edit Word List" dialog:
Here, you can load words from various built-in lists, or text files on your system, just like adding words to the default word list
