Pikachu 2048
Started 10/12/19, Version 1 10/21/19
DISCLAIMER: Pikachu, Pichu, Raichu, and their images are trademarks/copyrights of the Pokemon Company and the picture, as I got them from Pokemon Go, probably belong to Niantic or Pokemon. I do not own these pictures. I am using them for personal pleasure purposes, not commercial ones, and only am sharing the game with my friends and family
This is exactly what it sounds like: the game 2048, but with Pikachus (and Pichus, and Raichus) instead of numbers. I made it at the request of my mother, who likes Detective Pikachu because it had Ryan Reynolds in it. In her honor, the highest attainable Raichu is a one with a detective hat.
Some layout changes (adding sidebars and making it responsive)
A reset button which reset the game without requiring the page to be reloaded
A dictionary button which toggles a dictionary of pikachus and their respective values to show or hide
Bug Fixes:
- a new tile does not appear when no movement occurs
An arrow now pops up to show a possible move if the board is full and the player makes a useless move
When the player loses, a the table-gameboard has a gray background
When the player reaches a new pikachu value, it is celebrated in the score area
Swipe capability added (a button allow this to be enabled)
Small cosmetic changes (a pikachu-head favicon, a pikachu emoji in the sidebar)
Bug Fixes:
- the window does not scroll when an arrow key is pressed in play
- the player does not lose if the board is full and they made a useless move

how to use: Use the arrow keys or WASD to indicate which direction the tiles should slide. If there are no available moves, then you lose. Making same-value tiles collide and combine increases your score
