The Connect Team is not currently soliciting concepts for new questionnaire topics and enhancements to existing modules. There will be future calls for new concepts, submission period TBD.
To submit a Concept, please submit the following information using the online Concept Form.
- Primary Contact Name, affiliation (institution, division or branch), email address
- Title of proposed module or topic
- Collaborators with affiliation (if none, leave blank)
- Justification (500 words or less): Provide a brief proposal detailing your topic and goals. Please provide justification for inclusion (e.g., novelty, relevance to cancer). What is the value of self-reported information compared to electronic medical record, biological measures, meta-level, or device data?
- Feasibility and Validity (250 words or less): Are there existing instruments? Have they been validated in the general population? Have other cohorts asked questions about this topic? Expectations of participant burden? Expectations for repeated measures?
- Participant Burden: Number of questions? Psychological stress? Possible use of memory aids?
- Other Details (250 words or less): Are there additional details to be considered (e.g., suggestions about complimentary collections including questionnaire topics, biological specimens, or digital data)?
Proposals will be evaluated within 6 weeks by the Steering Committee. Evaluation criteria include innovation and relevance to cancer, feasibility and validity, and participant burden. If your concept is selected, you will be invited to form a Working Group of 5-10 members and develop a protocol or questionnaire module.
There will be additional calls for proposals in the future.
