Hyperlinked terms from View Work page send to empty search results

A number of fields that are already configured as facets or controlled vocabulary entries, when clicked on from the View Work page, send the user to a generic catalog search result (all items) with no apparent matches.

This is occurring on the following fields (but others may also be impacted):

content_genre
parent_title
language
date_issued
publisher_version
research_categories
admin_set

Examples of fields that do execute a limiting search results set:

keyword

Expected behavior
The user should be sent to a search result set that has limited the results based on matching the value in the field
OR - we should identify if additional fields need to be indexed for the public search to ensure these links work as expected
OR - we should identify if any of these fields should not be displayed as hyperlinks

Current behavior
When a user clicks a link on one of the above fields, they are taken to the full result set as if no search or filtering had been conducted
