Any reason we don't use markdown tables instead of HTML? Your original comment states that the Planning Council decided to use MD

I'm not sure I understand the difference between Current

I think it's a little like last year is not the current year but rather the previous or prior year. 😕
@merks the comments all have sort of the same answer, for now I was trying to match the pre-existing format of https://wiki.eclipse.org/Simultaneous_Release - All the markdown files were auto converted from wikimedia using pandoc. For the tables, it is HTML in markdown files to do fancy enough tables - mark down tables are limited pandoc left html tables when there was complicated formatting. I changed the individual release ones to use "pure" markdown as those table were simpler. Of course if we want to get rid of stuff like colour, and don't mind making slightly less readable source ( |
Oops - quick reply wasn't good - I meant to direct last comment to @tivervac |
I don't see a lot of fancy stuff, it mostly looks like plain old HTML with a class for even and odd lines. AFAIK that can be achieved through external CSS as well. |
I am going to leave the formatting of the tables discussion to another day and merge this with the approval I have. I really want this in place soon, and before EclipseCon. |
To crossref - the release schedule was discussed and the release cadence was approved at the most recent planning council meeting. |
This is the release plan/dates for the 2024-03/-06 releases. This is also part of the migration off of wiki.eclipse.org (#5)
Once this is approved and merged, I will create the Google calendar entries and redirect https://wiki.eclipse.org/Simultaneous_Release to here (just as I did for https://wiki.eclipse.org/Planning_Council)
