Getting the Software Off a Trixter/Dell PC

  • Copy the Trixter Software and Test Application
  • Export the PostgreSQL database using its backup feature.

This section suggests to use a USB Flash Drive to copy the files off the PC. An 8GB drive should suffice.

Please note these instructions are for the X-Dream 3 software associated with the X-Dream V1 bike, not the software associated with the X-Dream V2 bike which has a lot more in it (>50 Gb).

The Trixter Software and Test Application

  1. Copy the "XDream Test.exe" console application from the desktop to the "Trixter Additional Apps" folder.
  2. Zip the Trixter folder (right-click, send to compressed folder)…

Windows won’t allow this; you’ll be prompted to create it on the desktop instead. Click Yes.

Exporting the PostgreSQL Database

This is not strictly necessary. If you don’t want to copy the user data, skip this step. The X-Dream software will simply create a blank database on the new system.

  1. From the Start Menu, locate PostgreSQL 9.1 and start the "pgAdmin III" application
  2. In the Object Browser, click into the server using the password "postgres":

  1. Make sure all the objects are checked on the Objects tab:
