Brief overview of changes
Changes were made to the Mayoral Combined Authorities in May 2024 and these need updating in our English Devolved areas lookup.
The current Combined Authorities, as of 1st May 2024, can be viewed on the Open Geography portal.
And the Institute for Government have a nice explainer of current and planned devolution agreements. Note that references 7 more areas planned for 2025, so worth keeping an eye out for the codes for them as they come online.
Detailed description of changes
The following areas have been marked as terminated as of 30/04/2024:
E47000010 | North East
E47000011 | North of Tyne
And the following have been added and marked as commencing from 01/05/2024:
E47000012 | York and North Yorkshire
E47000013 | East Midlands
E47000014 | North East
