Welcome to the Practical_9 wiki!
That's what Peter Pan said about his childhood, right? I'm not entirely sure; I've never read the book before. As children, all we want to do is grow up. But as we do, we realise that adulthood is not quite what we thought it would be. Sure, we have a lot more power over our own lives and much more independence but this constant decision-making can take its toll quite quickly. Even making no decision is a decision in and of itself. Although it may seem cruel to perpetuate this jarring realisation as we come of age, perhaps it's for the best. How would we react knowing that life is hard even as children? Especially in the angsty throes of adolescence that accompany the joys of puberty.
