Yes, that's exactly it. When adding the homebrew solution, I couldn't find a efficient way of knowing exactly which formulas were yanked or deprecated. Trying to install those versions will yield a warning/error and a non-zero exit code. That's why I made the step infallible, so we can fallback to using clang-tools-pip. Line 258 in 7b41c60
Typically, the versions affected are older and the static binaries of those version do not suffer from segmentation faults or large binary sizes. |
