Classic DB release version 1.7 "The Scourge's Capital"

This release is compatible with revision z2684 of CMaNGOS-classic and comes with latest ACID-classic

The main topic of this release is a major rework of Stratholme dungeon by Tobschinski, evil@wow and cala. Many NPCs stats, spawns, quests, scripts, patrols and more were remade or added. Some parts of the dungeon were remade 100% anew from official data. Many ACID or SD2 scripts were also added to the respective projects.
This release also comes with a huge rework of the creature equipments by Tobschinski along with the fixes he made to creature stats, spawns and movements.
Last but not least, this release includes the changes from the big pet system rework made by Phatcat.

This release is compatible with revision z2683 of CMaNGOS-classic and comes with latest ACID-classic

This intermediate releases comes with LOTS of creature stats, spawns and movements fixes by Tobschinski, rework of the Midsummer Festival and the Gizelton Caravan by Zingzah, rework of parts of Deadmines by K59 with the help of Muehe, rework of the Wailing Caverns by Grz3s with the help of K59, some nice UDB backports by Grz3s and many fixes in dungeons (mostly Scholomance), quests and scripts by cala, all based on the very nice data provided and analysed by evil-at-wow.

Classic DB release version 1.6 'Shadowforge City'

This release is compatible with revision z2683 of CMaNGOS-classic and comes with latest ACID-classic

The main topic of this release is a major rework of Blackrock Depths dungeon by Tobschinski, evil@wow and cala. Many NPCs stats, spawns, quests, scripts, patrols and more were remade or added. Some parts of the dungeon were remade 100% anew from official data. Many ACID or SD2 scripts were also added to the respective projects. To date, this is the bigger and more blizzlike rework of a part of a game we made.

The Great Swimming Pool

Classic DB release version 1.5 'The Great Swimming Pool'

This release is compatible with revision z2656 of CMaNGOS-classic and comes with revision z2734 of SD2-classic and with latest ACID-classic

This release mainly focuses on resources nodes and pools with thousands of fixes. Hundred of wrong nodes were removed: no more thorium in Elwynn Forest or peacebloom in Eastern Plaguelands or other herbs/ores that should not be where they were. Many nodes were also adjusted. All zones now use the pool system: Felwood, Un'Goro Crater, Tanaris and some other areas no longer have dozen on resource nodes every yards. A new cell system has been introduced that will now prevent all resource nodes in a zone to spawn at the same place, leaving the full zone empty except for this spot: resources nodes are now evenly set across each zone. Also, average values of nodes in a zone have been updated: no more empty zones like Mulgore that previously had 8 total herbs in the whole zone, or Westfall with hundreds of spawns on the map.
These new settings may vary from zone to zone depending on how many nodes were originally sniffed and how many kinds of resources are available in a zone. Some zones are still more populated than others, some areas (usually few visited ones) are more empty but overall the gathering experience for players should be more enjoyable. The settings have been adjusted for a middle populated server. Many thanks for all the testers for their feedback.

This release is compatible with revision z2583 of CMaNGOS-classic and comes
with revision z2715 of SD2-classic and with last updates of
ACID-classic.

This intermediate release mainly focuses on NPCs both in dungeons and outer world. Many creatures movement, faction, spawn and scripts were fixed by Tobschinski, especially in dungeons and Capital City making them look more retail-like than ever. We also initiate the transition to the new creature stats system and a good amount of them have their stats already fixed. Special thanks to X-Savior for its hard work that led to this new stats system.

The main topic of this update is a total rework of Blackrock Spire with hundreds of fixes: creatures spawns (mostly), GO spawns, patrols, faction, models, flags and much more... The instance is now far more closer to was it was on retail.

Note that this release is a small intermediate version released with the closure of the milestone dedicated to fixing Blackrock Spire. The full change log will ship later when version 1.3.0 is released. In the meantime, all changes can be seen in the various commits, as always.

GOSSIPS

The main features of this release were the gossips. More than a thousand gossip menus were added or fixed for creatures and gameobjects. This will greatly reduce the amount of quests, scripts and events broken due to a missing gossip. Texts, options, conditions and scripts related to those gossip menus were also added.
Various sources were used, mostly UDB and TBC-DB in order to keep compatibility between the three databases.

Primary and secondary tradeskill trainers also had their gossip menus reverted to what they were back in classic days and it will now be easier to find the right trainer for each skill level. Before TBC tradeskill trainers were splitted in tiers and were able to teach only players with a skill level one tier below their own. Their gossip thus adjusted to direct players toward another trainer of the right skill level. More than a
hundred of tradeskill trainers had their gossip menus added or enhanced to match this behaviour, even trainers with different gossips depending on the player faction.

Blackrock Depths

  • Added waypoint paths for Edrick Killian and Davitt Hickson in Undercity
  • Fixed various Kolkar positions and linking
  • Prevented creature 647 (Captain Greenskin) from using wrong undead model instead of its goblin model
  • Fixed size for creature 1895 (Pyrewood Elder) which was way too big compared to other inhabitants of Pyrewood village.
  • Added waypoint movement for creature 522 (Mor'Ladim). It will now patrol Raven Hill Cemetery (lvl 25 - 30 area) as it should and set fear upon unaware players as it is a level 38 elite.
  • Reverted faction for creatures 2578 (Young Mesa Buzzard), 2579 (Mesa Buzzard), 2580 (Elder Mesa Buzzard) as they were hostile to players prior to patch 2.3.2. Correct faction value is taken from other buzzard creatures
  • Adjust scale of creature 7750 (Corporal Thund Splithoof) to match other taurens size
  • Fixed Rot Hide Gnolls (creature 1674) casting Curse of Thule (spell 3237) onto themselves instead of casting it on players
  • Fixed flag for creature 10992 (Enraged Panther)
  • Updated InhabitType for creature 7046 (Searscale Drake) to let it hover

QUESTS

  • Modified RequiredRaces for quest 5156 (Verifying the Corruption) as every race should be able to do the quest
  • fixed Quest 1383 by deleting deepstrider tumor from dreaming whelps and adding deepstrider tumor questdrop to deepstrider sea giants
  • fixed Quest 1388 (Nothing But The Truth) previous questid because quest where available before completing the first two quest of this questline
  • Added spawn and attack script for Thenan when completing quest 652 (Breaking the keystone)
  • Added Spellspcripts for Spells 11885, 11886, 1887, 11888, 11889 Despawning the corpse after use of the muisek vessel for muisek quests in Feralas
  • Fixed quest 3567 (To The Top) by removing the "You learn spell" from complete quest window and spell gets casted by Marli not by player
  • Added quest end scripts so Dalar Dawnweaver casts spell on Player, fixing the not enough mana bug
  • Fixed the "you learn spell" from quest windows, for 6 quests of Dalar Dawnweaver (NPC 1938)
  • Fixed minimum level requirement for various Darkmoon Faire quests
  • Removed wrong special flag in rogue quest 2358 (Horns of Nez'ra)
  • Changed drop chance of item 12884 (Arnak's Hoof) to make it drop only when player have related quest
  • Changed XP reward for quest 804 (Sarkoth part 2) to 110XP...
