I am very interested in your research question. In my opinion, legal reform initiated in the early 1980 is highly associated with the legitimacy transformation of the Chinese state, which I study from the perspective of the narrative construction in People's Daily. Your research inspires me to incorporate the dimension of legal reform into my future study.
You clearly describe the objective and methods that you used in this project. In addition, you summarized your findings in a nicely prepared table.
I have the following suggestions: 1. It would have been better if you integrate the plots of independent variables, the GRP and level of education (in the section "Explore Data"), for each province into one figure. 2. Could you please create a Shiny App to show the change of variables in a plot, rather than a DT table? 3. Is that possible you can measure the education level of a province in any other way? for example, the average education year. 4. I am not certain whether "the preference for litigation" or "litigation as a social norm" can be merely measured through the case number, without considering what type of the case increases over the time and how people view the litigation.
