It may make sense to wait for the stable release of the charmcraft poetry plugin, which I'm hoping will fix some of the issues we've had with charmcraft 3

Also, currently multi-base charms with 24.04 are not supported by charmcraft 3. (Issue for subordinate charms.) It may make sense to wait for https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QVHxZumruKVZ3yJ2C74qWhvs-ye5I9S6avMBDHs2YcQ/edit?tab=t.0. However, release of principal charms on 24.04 is currently blocked, so may not make sense to wait
