Various Automator (AppleScript) scripts to automate filing with Outlook for Mac.
Execute the following steps for each one of the scripts included in this code repository.
Double click on your target script to open it in Script Editor.
Once opened, it should look similar to the image below.
Start the Automator program.
Once it has started, add a new service by clicking in the menu on File > New.
Select the Service as document type, as shown in the image below.
At the top of the editor, choose "no input" for the "Service receives" field and "Microsoft Outlook app" for the application name.
Copy the text of the script from the Script Editor and paste it into the Automator editor.
Save the script, giving it a pertinent name.
Executing the desired script from inside Microsoft Outlook for Mac is much easier once a keyboard shortcut has been put into place.
For this purpose, open the System Preferences program, select Keyboard > Shortcuts > Services.
Scroll to the name of the services you have saved in the previous step and add a new keyboard shortcut by clicking on the right of the service name and using the desired keys.
To use the target script, just use the key combination that you have recorded in the previous step.
