V4.85
V4.8
Changes
- Added a new display flicker filter for response time testing.
It turns the above, into the below!
Specifically it searches for drops (that recover to a similar level to pre-drop) and replaces the data with interpolated data. This does not affect OLED results, but should help an awful lot for flickering displays. This won't help certain types of flicker though - ULMB just doesn't output any useable light so I can't work magic, and some low frequency MiniLED displays won't be helped, but for some this is a major improvement in processing.
This is also something you can disable in the result settings if you find it interferes with a certain type of result - but please do email/raise an issue with the data you find it messes up so I can improve the function!
V4.7
V4.6
Changes
- Disabled "Calibrate Brightness" mode for Pro/CS users as it isn't meant for that tool
- Fixed "N/A" folder bug
- Made 100ms the default capture time
- Added digital potentiometer timeout for rare cases where brightness cal gets stuck in an endless loop
- Officially support Pro CS versions with appropriate (V2.0) firmware. V1.9 was shipped on some units so I've skipped to V2.0 for uniformity.
V4.52
V4.51
V4.5
Changes
- [BREAKING] Added refresh rate limits of 480, 500, 540 (requires both firmware and software update to work, otherwise FPS limit functionality will break)
- Improved the backlight strobing check on OSRTT Pro to allow you to continue despite strobing (can't guarantee accurate results)
- Added run counter to OSRTT Pro display
- Improved windows scaling issue
V4.3
Changes
- Fixed OSRTT V1 not working for input latency testing
- Swapped to using per-compiled firmware for better compatibility
Post launch update
I've fixed an issue with the installer to install to the correct location. If you have issues with the program launching, please give the new installer a shot.
V4.2
V4.1 - Pro firmware update broken
Changes
- Fixed the auto-save PNGs bug (and the bug that I caused by fixing that)
- Fixed the firmware updating/installing the wrong version
- The software now uses per-compiled firmware files (for PRO at the moment) so any firmware updates will not need to be compiled locally which should fix a number of user's issues with firmware updates.
- The firmware files are now downloaded independently of the main software update so any firmware changes can be made without needing to update the whole app.
- The overdrive modes list is now downloaded at program launch, so when the list gets updated with more brands & modes, that doesn't need a whole app update to update.
- The new V1.5 firmware for the Pro boards is required for any boards shipped in the last two months with the revised circuit design. It should actually improve stability of the gain potentiometer on the original design too, but the new designs do not work with V1.5 or older.
Known issues
- The scaling issue is still a pain. Setting your monitor to 100% scaling in Windows should fix the issue (with an app restart too) but I'm trying to work out what I need to change to get it to just work.
- I'm going to be improving the DirectX code for the input latency test, it won't affect much but I've fixed a bug during development of my OSLTT project so I'll port that fix over for the next update.
