#summary The background, history, and motivation for this project

Introduction

The goal of this project is to better show how experimentally verifiable statements are linked mathematically.

How is this done now? Currently one might make this connection as notes taken in a physics class or read in a peer-reviewed article in a physics journal or read in a textbook.

The current state of the art is linear and disconnected. Typically, students in Physics write cheatsheets, which are simply lists of useful equations. The meaning behind each of these equations is provided in linear form by a textbook and non-linearly in Wikipedia.

Inspiration

This graph project has much content to draw from sites like PlanetPhysics and PlanetMath, but the steps between equations are sometimes not well enumerated. On those sites the focus is on definitions rather than mathematical steps between definitions.

In the long term, it would be nice to parse the snap shots of these sites
