AREMI testing

AREMI Testing

Below are items to test before sending off a new version.

Data layers

Electricity Inf. -> Generation -> Current Power Generation

This is a CSV webservice layer using the aemo-webservice. This exercises the Point based CSV's, automagic legends, and our webservice graphs.

  1. Turn on any layer.
  2. Check that the legend works, change legend parameter.
  3. Check that the points correspond to the legend colours.
  4. Click a point, check that data is up to date and that the graph works.
  5. Click to download the last 24h of data, check it works and gives the right data.

Electricity Inf. -> Generation -> Current Solar PV

Region Mapped CSV webservice - Legends, Regions.

  1. Turn on any layer.
  2. Check that the legend works, and that the colours correspond to the legend.
  3. Click anywhere and check the data and graph are correct.

Electricity Inf. -> Generation -> Small Scale Installations

Region Mapped CSV file.

  1. Turn on any layer.
  2. Check that the legend works, and that the colours correspond to the legend.
  3. Click anywhere and check the data and graph are correct.

Electricity Inf. -> Generation -> All Power Stations

Geoscience Australia based WMS layer.

  1. Check that data displays.
  2. Click any point and check info works.
  3. Check the legend works.
  4. Check the Info page for the layer.

Electricity Inf. -> Transmission

ArcGIS MapServer layers, Templating, Info pages, Multiple result feature info list.

  1. Turn on:
    1. Distance to Transmission Lines
    2. Substations
    3. Transmission lines
  2. Check legends work.
  3. Click on a point with a substation, transmission line, and distance contour.
    1. Confirm multiple results in the info popup.
    2. Confirm Distance to Trans results are templated to show human readable distance.

Electricity Inf. -> Transmission -> Western Australia -> Distribution Lines

Landgate SLIP proxy authenticated access.

  1. Check that data displays.
  2. Click on a line to check the feature info.
  3. Check the legend.

Electricity Inf. -> Network Opportunities

CZML, Timeseries, Custom info page DANCE handling.

  1. Turn on each layer in turn and test:
    1. Does not take too long to load.
    2. It looks reasonably good.
    3. For timeseries layers, test timeseries, check colours change.
    4. Click on a feature and make sure info data looks good.
    5. Check legend.
  2. Check that these also work in 2D mode.

Renewable Energy -> Solar -> Monthly Climatology

Timeseries WMS, Templated data.

  1. Test timeseries works.
  2. Click anywhere and check data is human readable.
  3. Check legend.

Renewable Energy -> Geothermal -> Radiation and Geophysics

Auto-populated group.

  1. Open group and turn on Radiometrics -> Radiometrics Filtered Th ppm Image - 2015.
  2. Check info page.
  3. Check legend.

Infrastructure -> Communications -> Radio Licenses

AREMI Geoserver hosted ACMA data, Templating.

  1. Click on any cluster of points, check templating looks good.

Population -> ABS

ABS Data Service.

  1. Turn on any pre-defined layer, check data shows up.
  2. Go into ABS Data Service.
  3. Turn on any layer, check it works.

Other functionality

2D/3D/3D Terrain

Play with things in all the modes to make sure things display correctly.

CSV Drag and Drop

Drag and drop a CSV that should work and make sure it does.

Share URL Shortening

This only works when hosted at an aremi.nicta.com.au hostname. Share something, and make sure that you can visit the share URL that is generated.

Add Data

Add a new service using the Add Data button. Here's one that should work: http://services.ga.gov.au/gis/rest/services/NEXIS_Agricultural_Exposure/MapServer

Switching Basemaps

Switch between the different basemaps.

Searching

  1. Search for a place, like Coonabarabran, click on the result to make sure Zoom To works.
  2. Search for a layer, like vegetation, to find the Native Vegetation Areas, turn it on.
  3. Search for a lat,lon, like -35.5, 145.123 and click to Zoom To.
