Release Notes

Note that this version of the DXA Model Service uses CD 8.5 in-process APIs to improve performance. As a result, it can only be used in combination with SDL Web 8.5.
The original DXA 2.0 Model Service uses CIL APIs and hence can be used on other SDL Web versions too.

Included Fixes

CRQ-21070 Adjust Pagemodel and entityModel ehcache implementation to avoid possible livelock

Release Notes

This release contains both DXA Model Service In Process and CIL OData Model Service.

Note that this version of the DXA Model Service In-Process uses CD 8.5 in-process APIs to improve performance. As a result, it can only be used in combination with SDL Tridion Sites 9.0.

On Sites 9.0, you should preferably use the GraphQL Content Service + DXA Model Extension instead of the standalone Model Service, but if you want to run a DXA 2.0 web application on SDL Tridion Sites 9.0, you can use either(In-Process or CIL Odata) version of the DXA Model Service. For more details please follow the link.

If you are using SDL Web 8.5, please use the DXA 2.2 Model Service In-Process.

Included Fixes:

SRQ-12673 DXA Java Framework issues causing VE website to break
SRQ-12221 Request for 8.5 compatible model service using in-process APIs
SRQ-12342 In process Model service needs configurable Broker DB connection pool size
SRQ-12111 Update to Jackson DB 2.10.x
Updated UDP libraries with many multithreading fixes
