Derick Sayavong is a fourth-year undergraduate in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a minor in Business. He is actively working on SynBio Suite, a web app for the design and analysis of genetic circuits. Additionally, he is helping to develop SBOLCanvas, a web application for creation and editing of genetic constructs using the SBOL data and visual standard. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing the guitar.

In 2019, Lukas Buecherl received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Ulm, Germany. He continued his studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he completed both his Master's and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering as part of the Interdisciplinary Quantitative Biology Program. This program emphasized interdisciplinary studies, which laid the foundation for his current research interests at the intersection of engineering and biology.

SynBio Suite is an open-source web-based platform that supports synthetic biology research by integrating tools for the design, execution, and analysis of experiments. Through its intuitive graphical interface, users can create, visualize, and manage experimental designs with ease.
SynBio Suite is an integrated software platform designed to streamline the design, simulation, and optimization of synthetic biological systems. It provides researchers with a comprehensive set of tools for creating, testing, and analyzing engineered biological circuits and pathways. SynBio Suite supports the entire design-build-test cycle, enabling users to model genetic systems and predict their behavior before actual implementation in the laboratory. SynBio Suite supports the use of standardized formats, such as SBOL (Synthetic Biology Open Language), to ensure compatibility and data exchange across different tools and platforms.

SynBio Suite can be used to visualize and analyze DNA sequences, build genetic parts libraries, and test designs in silico. The software also facilitates collaboration by allowing users to share designs with colleagues, store data locally, and upload new experimental results.

With its focus on improving the efficiency and reproducibility of synthetic biology research, SynBio Suite helps users reduce trial-and-error in the lab, optimize engineering processes, and accelerate the development of biotechnological applications such as biofuels, therapeutics, and environmental solutions.
