# Close, score, and reflect on OKRs with Viva Goals

Closing out your OKRs at the end of a time period involves evaluating the progress made towards achieving your goals and determining whether they were accomplished.
Are you ready to close out your Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)? When the time comes to close them, you must evaluate the progress you made towards achieving your goals, determine whether you accomplished them, and decide on areas for improvement. When you close out OKRs, you're opening the door to future education and goal setting.

Some people are surprised to not see a green color coded score when reaching 100% of their goal. Remember that OKRs are designed to be ambitious, with goals chosen to stretch what’s possible in order to really move the needle on progress. Occasionally you'll hit 100% of your goals, which is fantastic and should be celebrated. But if you find your KRs consistently scoring a 1.0 each quarter, it’s a good sign that you’re not setting goals that are ambitious enough.

You might have noticed that Viva Goals will automatically calculate a recommended score, but that it can be adjusted, giving you some flexibility in how your OKR scores are viewed.

For example, let’s say your goal was to launch a new speaker series, and host 10 events during the quarter. If you ended up doing seven events, you’d receive a score of 0.7. But if those events exceeded all expectations, each one of them sold out, and provided immense value to your audience, then you could nudge the score up to 0.8 to reflect that.
