Features
This page displays general information about the mod and how to use it.
ItemSorter allows you to specify a list of items to grab from open containers. See the commands page for more information on how to specify the list. After the list of items is set, simply press the TAB key when you open a container to take the items in the list.
There are 4 main keybinds for the sorting, dumping, and grabbing functionalities. These are the direction keys you have set in Minecraft controls. For QWERTY/QWERTZ keyboards, this is WASD by default, and ZQSD on AZERTY keyboards.
- Walk Forwards (W/Z) This quick-stacks (like in Terraria) the items in your inventory into the container, with regard to data values. This means that if there is blue wool in a chest and you have stone, dirt, and blue and red wool in your inventory, pressing the W/Z key while having the chest open will dump all of the blue wool into the chest.
- Strafe Left (A/Q) This quick-stacks the items in your inventory into the container, but without regard to data values. With the above example, it would dump all the wool into the chest, but not the stone and dirt.
- Walk Backwards (S) This dumps all the items in your inventory into the container, attempting to empty your entire inventory.
- Strafe Right (D) This attempts to grab all the items from the container into your inventory, attempting to empty the entire container.
In addition, the LEFT SHIFT and LEFT CONTROL keys can be used to modify the behavior of the W/A/S keys. If the LEFT SHIFT key is held down while using W/A/S, the function will only apply to the top 3 rows of your inventory, i.e. excluding the hotbar. If the LEFT CONTROL key is held down instead, the function will only apply to your hotbar.
