Follow these instructions on how to create a GitHub account. GitHub allows you to read pages without a username, but to edit you need to be logged out.
Email Kevin Vinsen and give him your GitHub user id. I don't know of a way of allowing general access to an Organisation's repositories - if you do tell me.
