This github repo, wiki and associated documentation is the product of the efforts from the 2nd Australia-China SKA Big Data Workshop held at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Shanghai, China 10-12 April 2018.
The Workshop will be focused on the SKA Regional Centre (SRC) development, with two main objectives :
- To deliver a working prototype/solution of an integrated SKA regional centre distributed across Australia and China;
- To synthesise the lessons learnt from this workshop into the roadmap of SRC development in the next five years.
Taking in account such a practical focus, the workshop was conducted in a hackathon” style.
The workshop was broken down into the following work packages:
- Work Package 1 - Data Transfer
- Work Package 2 - Pipelines
- Work Package 3 - Data Management
- Work Package 4 - Hardware/Software co-design
- Work Package 5 - Integration and Acceptance Testing
