MEASUREMENTS.
STATUS .DATA FROM PAPER OF UPTON CONFERENCE.
MONIT-REF (,M.G.Sowerby+,R,AERE-R-7373,1973)
The liquid scintillator efficiency of 75 % was
determined using NU-BAR of CF-252 = 3.732.
ASSUMED (ASSUM,98-CF-252(0,F),PR,NU)
ANALYSIS .Determination of the neutron multiplicity
distribution for the detected events.
CORRECTION .Background, detection dead time, detector efficiency,
elastic and inelastic events.
ERR-ANALYS (DATA-ERR) Errors given are standard errors derived by
quadratic addition of the statistical errors of the
experimental data and the errors of the correction.
.Uncertainties of Cf-252(NU-BAR) and U-238-fission
cross-sections are not included.
COMMENT .The direct detection technique of emitted neutrons
used in this experiment is not limited to nuclei
with suitable activity characteristics of
residual isotopes as it is the case for activation
measurements.
