In working condition, hence represented by a much cuter dog than the Chihuahua; the Border Collie. There are still some tweaks of the hyperparameters needed, but in principle, everything is functioning now.

DO NOT fly the drone in limited spaces, it tends to have a drift which makes it unusable except for open fields. In an open field, the drone should be safe to use and can be tested. Note that we do not give any guarantee and consider this program completely experimental. If any damaged occur we are in no way liable.

To do/fix list:

  • implement sensible patrolling (discombobulation) function
  • fix issue that a high flying drone will make up for the high distance by flying forward (make forward movement dependent on camera tilt)
  • make control computation polynomial rather than linear
  • prevent drift from happening/implement GPS stabilization
  • fix magnitude and direction of control visualization
