UPSShare is a system that allows to share one UPS device among several computers. The goal is allow all computers participating in the share to shutdown or hibernate before going off power.
The architecture is simple, there are two roles computer would take: Master and Slave. Master computer is the one connected (through USB or whatever method the UPS allows connections) to the UPS to receive its events. Slave computers are those connected to the power line served by the UPS but not receiving events from it.
Slave computers in turn will connect to the Master UPSShare service and wait for events the master computer will trigger using this service to signal all other when is time to shutdown or hibernate.
