Tesla-ElonMuskAppeal

An open shareholder letter to Judge Kathaleen St. J. McCormick To the attention of: The Honorable Kathaleen St. J. McCormick The Court of Chancery Leonard L. Williams Justice Center 500 North King Street Wilmington, DE 19801 C.A. No. 2018-0408-KSJM Subject: Appeal for the Decision to Rescind Elon Musk's Compensation Package Dear Judge Kathaleen McCormick, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to respectfully appeal the recent decision to rescind Elon Musk's compensation package, a decision that I believe may have significant repercussions on Tesla, its shareholders, and its pursuit of a sustainable future. As an individual shareholder of Tesla since 2018, I have closely followed the company's trajectory and have become deeply invested, not only financially but also ideologically. Tesla's mission statement, focusing on advancing sustainable energy and transportation, resonates with me deeply. I am a strong supporter of the green environmental impact that electric cars, particularly those produced by Tesla, can have on our planet. Moreover, my trust in the professional conduct of Tesla's Board of Directors has been unwavering. I believe that the decisions made by the Board are grounded in a commitment to the long-term success of the company and the fulfillment of its mission. The goals set for Elon Musk in 2018 were extraordinarily demanding, and I firmly believe that the compensation package was appropriate given the ambitious nature of these objectives. The exceptional results achieved by Mr. Musk and the company since then are a testament to his dedication and leadership. As a shareholder, my confidence in the company's leadership has only grown stronger over time. If given the opportunity to vote again, I would not hesitate to restate the same or even a more favorable compensation for any individual who can demonstrate similar results and dedication to Tesla's mission. Furthermore, it is important to note that I, along with many other shareholders, have invested not only financially but also emotionally in the success of Tesla. I trust Elon Musk and the Board of Directors to make decisions that will secure the best interests of the company and its shareholders. In light of the above, I kindly request the court to consider the appeal to rescind Elon Musk's compensation package. I believe that this decision, if reconsidered, will contribute to the continued success of Tesla and its pivotal role in advancing sustainable technologies. Thank you for your time, consideration, and commitment to justice. Sincerely,
