LightningLauncher is a launcher designed for Oculus Quest that supports both official and sideloaded apps and games.
It has been built with a focus on speed, flexiblity, and convenience.
It can run on any Android device, but has been tailored for the lastest updates to the Oculus/Meta Quest OS.
Get Lightning Launcher on SideQuest, or:
- Download LightningLauncher from releases.
- Install the LightningLauncher apk to your Quest. If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.
- (Recommended) Set up a shortcut option in
Settings -> Shortcut Settings
- Enter edit mode and then select "Add Website" on the bottom right
- Websites will be automatically given labels and icons from, but both can be customized as you wish
- Websites launch in a custom browser, and will continue running in the background when hidden
- High-res logos for many websites provided by clearbit
- Background audio and recording is fully supported! Enjoy the web versions of Discord, Spotify, and many more!
- Modern UI with a focus on ease-of-use

- Change the size or spacing of apps to show more apps at once
- Choose from 10 preset styles, or import your own custom wallpaper
- Automatic grouping of apps
- Customizable default groups for VR Apps, 2D Apps, and Websites
- Easily sort apps into up to 12 custom groups
- Apps and groups you've starred will be moved to the front of the list for easier access
- If you chose to hide the top bar and not use groups, starring your favorite apps is a good alternative!
- Press the search icon next to the settings icon to start searching all apps
- Press enter on the keyboard to instantly open the first result

to set up shortcuts - You can set Lightning Launcher to open from the app library, explore, and/or facebook messenger icons

DreamGrid no longer works properly on Oculus devices, but may be better for PicoVR
