This is a Dockerized Django project that can be easily deployed to any environment that supports Docker.
Before you can run this project, you must have the following installed on your machine:
- Docker
- Docker Compose
To get started with this project, follow these steps:
- Clone this repository to your local machine.
- Navigate to the root directory of the project.
- Run the following command to build the Docker image:
docker-compose build
- Once the image is built, run the following command to start the container:
docker-compose up
- Open your web browser and go to http://localhost:8000 to view the Django application.
The Django application can be configured using environment variables. The following environment variables are available:
DJANGO_SECRET_KEY: The secret key used by Django for cryptographic signing. Default is changeme.
DJANGO_DEBUG: Whether or not to enable debug mode in Django. Default is True.
DJANGO_ALLOWED_HOSTS: A comma-separated list of allowed hostnames for the Django application. Default is localhost,127.0.0.1.
DATABASE_URL: The connection URL for the database. Default is sqlite:////app/db.sqlite3.
DATABASE_NAME: db_letswatch.
DATABASE_USER: admin.
DATABASE_PASSWORD: ****.
DATABASE_HOST: .
DATABASE_PORT: The port number of the database server. Default is 5432.
