Introduction

So, is this your first contact with (modded) Minecraft?

When you first enter the world, nothing might seem special about it. Take a look around, punch your first tree, explore a bit.

Upon opening your inventory you'll see it: (almost) endless pages of every item that exists. This list ("JEI" or "JustEnoughItems") will be - or can be - a big part of your Minecraft experience. You can look up crafting recipes, show usages and bookmark items by pressing the corresponding button(s) - you can (and maybe should) change these - I use [I], [U] and [A] respectively.

Soo, since this is a tech-oriented modpack, all kinds of technology can be built to improve your blocky life. There is a vast selection of storage solutions, measures to process resources and tools that enrich your survival.

A good way to see what a specific modification has to offer is by searching in the JEI search-bar: → @meka ← will show you every item of every mod that starts with "meka". Here it will show you items of Mekanism, MekanismAdditions, MekanismGenerators and MekanismTools. To filter JEI for Mekanism's smelter, type → @meka smelt ← in the search box.

Hmm, those maschines don't seem to work without some kind of power. They need a generator powering them. There are many kinds of power sources: water mills, solar panels, charged batteries, coal generators, even nuclear reactors and many more.

Many modifications offer their own generators, but it is possible and often useful to mix mods to get cheaper, better, simpler or more space efficient ones.

If you find yourselves underground, you'll discover that the ground is a kaleidoscope of ores. A lot of them can be turned into tools and armor of different strengths and characteristics. Use them to enhance your survival experience.

A tech-oriented modpack is nothing without automation. Everything can be automated, sometimes you'll have to get creative and combine different modifications - or none at all - to achieve your goal.

Some useful "buzz words" are "Ore Processing", "Bonsai Tree", "Quarry", "Autocrafting", "Miner" and many more.

However, the most important thing is:

There is no prewritten path, discover your playstyle and most importantly: HAVE FUN!

You don't have to slay the Gaia Boss of Botania, build beautiful assembly lines with Create, craft the very best jetpack, make a diamond hoe, automate every solar panel with Applied Energistics 2, use Diamond Chests for storage or just use dirt as a building block. But you could ;)

Welcome to the TechAttack wiki!
