Project Miniverse

Video Demo: Unedited, live site pending

Project Miniverse is the project from my time at Hackbright Academy. It is a site that allows users to share and visualize low resolution 3D printable files. Once a file is uploaded the user can view and interact with a 3D representation of their 3D model. Users can upload renderings or photos of their creations. All users can search all files in the Miniverse. Users can optionally share their 3D models by giving permission for other users to download them.

Table of Contents

Tech Stack

Python, JavaScript, jQuery, Jinja, Flask, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, AJAX, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, three.js(JS library)

Features

The user must make an account or log into an existing account. If live the passwords would be hashed before being saved in the database.

A user can search the titles of all 3D models uploaded to the site if logged in.

On the page of each 3D model, if the user who uploaded the 3D model has set it to publicly downloadable then all users can download the file. Being logged in to the site is required.
