Releases: B3-Coin/B3-CoinV2
3.1.2.2
Changelog:
v3.1.2.2
- Fix for staking defect where the balance pre-stake was added into the new balance (with stake), causing the balance to reflect ~2x the true number of coins on the chain.
- Set default coin display to kB3 for brand new wallet rather than B3.
- Creation of superblock for the coin's ecosystem.
Release Notes
Please note, this release was compiled from one of our private repositories on github.
This mandatory release updates the code to fix a staking defect where wallet displays are incorrect - and is ~2x the true balance visible on explorer. The balance consists of the pre-stake coins being added into the new balance which includes the stake. This has been an intermittent issue for many QT wallets for awhile, but is now fixed.
We are also ensuring that any brand new wallets are set to display coins in our tradeable asset (kB3) which is how B3 is traded on exchanges. Please remember - 1000 B3 = 1 kB3
Last, we are creating a superblock in this release. These coins will be used to benefit the coin's ecosystem, including FN owners, growth and development of the coin, and exchanges. These changes were/are discussed in the community meetings on discord from 3/14 and 3/21. We are pleased that the community has been so supportive.
This is a mandatory update. Please make sure that you update your wallets/nodes (and especially your fundamental nodes) ASAP.
If you are already on 3.1.2.0 and are on the right chain, update is simple. Just close your wallet, download, and open using the new release. Should you get stuck - there is a bootstrap.zip above. Users have reported lower resource utilization. We believe you will be happy with our improvements.
3.1.2.0
Changelog:
v3.1.2.0
- FN price reduction to 15,000 kB3 moved to block height 105,000
- 100% APR period extended until block height 110,000
- FN expiration code is disabled
- Graphic update for consistent branding
Release Notes
This mandatory release updates the code to enable a Fundamental Node (FN) to be purchased for 15,000 kB3 at block 105,000. Because we had to push this reduced cost back to block 105,000, we also pushed back the 100% APR to end 10,000 blocks later, at block 110,000. This will ensure that the FNs which cost 15,000 kB3 will still have 5,000 blocks of 100% rewards.
Additionally, due to feedback from the community, we have disabled the FN Expiry from the code. We understand that it is confusing to have something in the code which may or may not be used. As we have said previously, we will still need to work on the full coin supply solution as a part of our larger business model, and we will be sure to communicate with the community and our investors as part of that process.
You will also notice that the latest wallet has updated branding so that it is consistent with the logo and branding update that was previously launched.
This is a mandatory update. Please make sure that you update your wallets/nodes (and especially your fundamental nodes) before block # 105,000 (ETA: 35 days)

3.1.1.2
Changelog:
v3.1.1.2
- DNS seeds have been updated and pushed into the b3nodes.net domain
- Default maxconnections bumped to 70
- MAX_OUTBOUND_CONNECTIONS bumped to 16
Release Notes
We spun up new seed nodes to help with the connectivity issues.
Going forward, we hope that no edits in the b3coin.conf
should be required, and any wallet will be able to find peers automatically.
In the meantime, we kindly ask you to remove any connect=
and addnode=
lines from your b3coin.conf
and delete your peers.dat
file to alleviate the load from the seed nodes, and to actually make your wallet able to connect to other peers through the DHT.
