🎉 Hooray! MediaSort v0.4.4 is Here! 🎉

We're thrilled to bring you MediaSort version 0.4.4, packed with essential improvements and a more robust installer! Here’s what’s new:

  • Enhanced Installer 🚀
Setting up MediaSort just got easier! The installer now handles importing ffprobe automatically, so you don't have to worry about additional setup steps for media analysis. Simply run the installer, and you're good to go!

  • Profile Updates with Improved Keyword Filtering 🔍
We've added an init option for managing unwanted keywords in profiles. This helps you tailor sorting rules more precisely, ensuring that irrelevant keywords don’t clutter your media organization.

Looking Ahead:
With this update, we’ve laid the groundwork for even more flexible customization. Next up, we're exploring ways to add new pattern-matching options, improve sorting efficiency, and refine the MediaSort experience even further. Stay tuned for more, and thanks for being a part of this journey!

Happy organizing! 🎉

🎉 YEEPEEE! We made it to v0.4! 🎉

We're excited to announce that MediaSort has reached version 0.4! Here's what's new:

  • Complete Code Refactor: The entire codebase has been refactored for better readability and maintainability.
  • Profile Feature: Added profiles as a quality of life improvement. 🎉
  • Major Update: TV Maze and TMDB Integration: That's right! You can now fetch your media names directly from real databases instead of relying on the dark arts of regex and string manipulation. 🔮✨
  • Installer Added: Based on community feedback, we’ve created an installer to simplify the setup process. No more manual edits to the PATH environment variable!

And Now:
For now, I'm going to take a break. When I come back, I'll work on adding a way to include unwanted patterns in the regex parser, maybe even build my own progress bar (thanks, indicatif, but I want more control over my bytes parsed and to trim dependencies). I might also explore a GUI implementation, but that's a bit further down the road. Until then, have a great one, everyone! 🎉
