XXL Editor v0.3
After two and a half years since XXL Editor (C++) was born, version 0.3 has now arrived!
This is probably the biggest update from v0.2, giving tons of modding opportunities for XXL 1!
- Import new ground models to make totally new sectors, as seen on YouTube.
- Make your own Squads from scratch, and edit its scripting!
- Event scripting has now become easier than before!
- Give names to any entity in the game, thanks to the Addendum file!
- Duplicate hooks like mechanisms (buttons, corkscrews, turnstiles) and use them in scripted events!
- A lot of the user interface has been improved, access a window with a single click to its corresponding icon!
Of course, some features are still missing (for example cinematic cutscenes), and support for other games like XXL2, Olympic Games and non-Asterix games are still limited and buggy compared to XXL1, but nobody said the development of the editor ended. 😉
Finally, I know I repeated it already a lot, but if you need help, please check the Wiki. A lot of guides were written to help you achieve what you might want to do. 🙂
