Before becoming a Research Software Engineer (RSE), she did a postdoc in Solar Physics and Space Weather Prediction, and worked as Computational Scientist at an x-ray technology start-up. Her first RSE position was in Advanced Research Computing at Durham University, where she also took on the role as Research Software Engineering Theme Lead at the N8 Centre of Excellence for Computationally Intensive Research (N8 CIR).
