I have two of the ZGM230-DK2603A Z-Wave 800 Series Development Kits. I am using one for zniffer and one as a usb controller. I can install most any firmware version. Right now I have v7.19.2. as per the docs that is on the list as not affected by major issues.
As we await for the fix to known issue 1227385,
The 700/800 controller can lock itself up. The controller is not able to send acknowledgements and the data transmitted is corrupted
