So as you remember, I've been moving over to the zooz 700 stick, several zooz 700 switches, and several zooz 700 dimmers... It's going poorly. The switches seem fine. The dimmers act differently from my previous jasco stuff, which isn't necessarily a problem. But I've got some weird stuff going on. Such as:
Anyway, if anyone has some suggestions, let me know! It could be a corrupt SD card on my pi I guess. Could be older lightning struck devices on the network which are broken. Could be bugs in the new zooz stuff... I'll probably fight it for a few more days then move back to zwave 500 stuff until I can go 100% on zwave 700 someday. |

That sounds hectic! I think once you get a successful network heal, it will start performing once again. I don't think there is any special treatment for 700 series during a network heal (I could be wrong) @AlCalzone, |

I captured a spam event from node 26. Here's the log plus a couple minutes before and after. First spam timestamp:

Alright the stick used to be plugged in right near the red ethernet cable. Now it's taped up on the bar by the paper stack. Restarted NR, started a network heal, I'll be back either very soon if the problems continue or tomorrow if things act better. |

Wanted to make an update here. I've been watching closely for 4 hours now, I haven't seen any rapid-fire repeated messages! Great progress there. I ran a heal on the network, all except one node healed properly. The one that failed is working mostly correctly but it's being a bit abusive I think, it's a motion detector. It repeats motion alerts every 9 seconds while motion is ongoing! That can't be normal, right? All my others report at a configurable interval from 15 seconds and up. Anyway, that's the reason for #66 - I'm planning to swap that node for a different motion detector in hopes it'll behave better. Otherwise the network traffic is looking good. If things continue like this, I'll be getting started into learning how the new devices work... It'll be a lot easier if the network is happy! |
