I'd be happy to collaborate more actively. How about establishing another communication channel like a Telegram or Discord group chat or something like that? Feel free to DM me! |
I am ready to help. Please let me know in what area you need help.

As much as I'd love to continue giving Aspen a good amount of my spare
time, it has become less and less feasible for me to do so over the past
few months due to my focus shift on other areas of life - work, health,
sports, art, etc.
I kicked off Aspen 2 couple of months ago, the progress of which can be
followed here <#19>. The core
foundation is already there in the aspen-next branch in this repository,
and I'll make sure the basic low-level API is there in the coming few weeks
to give Aspen 2 a good headstart. I'll explicitly announce that in the
release discussion thread when that is done and it is ready to be extended
to have advanced API be built on top off.
But that's where I need the community to jump in. The bitter truth is that
Aspen 2 might never see the daylight if it continues to be just me running
the project. As explained earlier, it has become less and less feasible for
me to give my time.
In this thread, I hope to find at least 2 volunteers who can give some of
their spare time to Aspen 2 and sail it towards a final release. This does
not mean I'm stepping out of the project, it just means I'm seeking help to
share the effort 🙏
Feel free to ask me any questions.

👏 I'm happy to see some traction building up!
That's a very neat idea. We'll go with Discord since it's much popular. I'll announce it alongside the (pre-)alpha release of aspen 2. Stay tuned.
We'll set milestones once the (pre-)alpha is out as that's when we'll really have a "working" MVP which can then be extended. |
Would love to join in as well. Have made extensive use of this library at Paperspace. I had to dig into the internals, thus feel like I can make a meaningful contribution (from my @jaredLunde account) |
@zikaari I would love to contribute in the v2! Is the discord server created? if you need any help with that lemme know :) |
Also seems like lerna is pretty much stale now, https://github.com/lerna/lerna as they're suggesting people to switch to nrwl and other mono repo tools. I was thinking as the current structure of the v2 repo is still quite simple, let's switch to https://turborepo.org/ I can do this in a PR if you want |
