Would you please remove the Raid Pokémon from the "Misc Pokémon" category? In a Raid with less than 3 NPC's there's an active round timer. So, while it does not seem like a big deal clicking "Misc Pokémon" then clicking "Raid Pokémon", the extra click makes a huge difference.

It would be fabulous if this was a single click for non-solo Raiding especially from the overlay!!!

(The new features are a fantastic addition! Keep up the AMAZING WORK!!)

I can see how limited time can be an issue when using the applet since there are multiple steps to start CaptureSight's applet.

Although the overlay is pretty quick to load and use. While a 30 second timer exists for raids, after an attack is selected the player has over a minute before the timer starts again which should be plenty of time to use the overlay.

I don't think I quite understand the scenario. Is there a specific piece of information you want to see after the raid starts, but before choosing an attack?

The decision along the pathway is not simply A, B, or C. We are constantly using the Right Analogue stick to look up and down the pathway. The 30 seconds seems like a lot but less so when you are determining a team route to get to the end.

I believe this may be personal frustrations within my play group more than anything else.

That might be where my misunderstanding is.

The original comment sounds like the issue is viewing the Raid Pokemon stats in the Misc Pokémon list, but the previous comment sounds like the issue is viewing the Dmax Adventure Pokemon.

Just to clarify, is the issue viewing the Raid Pokemon or Dmax Adventure Pokemon?

I am speaking about the "Raid Pokémon" display.

The simple fact is sole reason most people use Capture Sight is: the "Raid Pokémon" display. It's a little ironic you have it buried with a player's Pokémon team & box views as once a player unlocks the Judge IV view, those are completely redundant. While those two features are truly miscellaneous views that should be at the bottom of the list, the "Raid Pokémon" is your no.1 feature so it makes sense it should be at the top.

However, it's so vital, the "Raid Pokémon" really should be at the top outside of a sub-menu.

(In terms of usage, I am speaking on a group of us in Local Communitication with CFW Switchs in Dynamax Adventures using the "Raid Pokémon" feature DURING Dynamax Adventures to determine "if the Pokémon was shiny does it have good enough stats to keep" to determine whether any of us catch as in Dynamax Adventures it's often better not catching all 3 Pokémon from the non-Boss encounters.)

You have a good point about usage. A large use has become viewing Raid Pokemon, although it feels just as much of the use is checking trade Pokemon to get raid seeds for non-cfw users. Reorganizing where things are sounds like it could be good since both of those are lower on the navigation list.

Thanks for providing your specific use. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like the scenario is:

  • You and others join a dmax adventure
  • After beating an encounter, you have ~30 seconds to choose if you want to keep it or not (which impacts the rest of the adventure)
  • The time it takes to view the stats and let other people know isn't long enough to come up with a good strategy

I see the benefit to reorganizing for easier use in general, but I'm still not seeing the timing issue described above. The Pokemon's stats are visible for the duration of the battle, which lasts several minutes. Is there something I'm missing?

Based on this comment it sounds like there might be some issues with the dmax adventure and scrolling up/down to compare Pokemon. I solve this by writing down the list of Pokemon CaptureSight shows before starting the dmax adventure so there's less back-and-forth between CaptureSight and the game.

In theory we have the 30 seconds to decide which player will be keeping the Pokémon however this decision must be made in battle to ensure the correct player ends up with Pokémon.

The decisions along the path often require a lot of improvision. The simple fact that sometimes a pathway which includes Berries or Items is often more valuable than the Pokémon we could add to our party. So, the 30 seconds along the path is also too vital for anyone player to ever be referring back to Capture Sight.

I see the benefit to reorganizing for easier use in general, but I'm still not seeing the timing issue described above. The Pokemon's stats are visible for the duration of the battle, which lasts several minutes. Is there something I'm missing?

On paper: the length of the battle is a few minutes however the majority of the time is spent discussing the battle itself. This leaves only a short bit during the battle to discuss which player should have the Pokémon (or if any.) Now, thanks to Capture Sight this discussion now includes the topic of does anyone have a Keeper (good combination of stats/attributes.)

Since the game in multiplayer play uses a player order to determine who gets to "capture" and use the Raid Pokémon we need that determine before a ball is thrown to ensure that player ends up with the Pokémon.

This demands the Capture Sight review of the Raid Pokémon immediately before Turn 1 attacks are selected.

(This time will shorten even more if we end up with advanced knowledge of the Boss. With knowledge of its stats, it will influence picks made along the way. ie. You are fighting Landorus with 2 different spread moves... we can try to ensure all players have Pokémon with at least 1 point more of Speed than Landorus.)

Ah, interesting. I didn't know that about the capture order. 🙂

I'll think through the reorganization a bit. I want to be careful about making the left side of the app too cluttered, and I feel there's a good way to do that while still addressing the points you've brought up.

If anyone else has thoughts on this, please feel free to chime in!

You have catagories.

You always have the option with the base app to re-orientate the layout to include a horizontal row across the top listing the Catagories (use ZL/ZR toggle between them.) This way you would be able to set up to ONLY show the sub-items belonging to the catagory the user is in.

Catagories (whichever order you prefer):

  • Raids (include Raids & Dens)
  • Dynamax Adventures
  • Interactions (include Wild & Trade here)
  • Trainer (include Party & Box here)

(I assuming the overlay cannot dynamically read from a configuration file in the main Capture Sight to have an on/off toggle for menu items OR an option to display 5 set menu items. I imagine most people only need a few of the menu items to appear in the Overlay. or... something like a few "modes" that we can select from. Like "Raid" mode where a player would never need Trades/Box/Wild mons)
