Hello, my name is Niyobuhungiro Yves and I have been working as a Software Developer for almost 5 years now. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work for several companies such as BildauDigital ltd, KudiBooks, PayingTone, Ontime App Rwanda - ShuriBus Ltd, and many more.
One of my key responsibilities at Ontime App Rwanda - ShuriBus Ltd was to develop backend APIs for a mobile application and web dashboard for administration on a fleeting management app. I used PHP Laravel framework to develop the backend and also developed two mobile apps for Android in Java. It was a challenging task, but I carefully analyzed the project to identify and rectify errors, implemented best practices and coding standards, and reported on weekly tasks in accurate and detailed reports.
Apart from developing software applications, I also played a critical role in conducting testing and integration testing for the entire system, identifying project risks, and planning mitigation actions with the project manager at the project level. This helped us to identify and address any issues before they became major problems.
My work at KudiBooks, PayingTone, and Ontime App Rwanda - ShuriBus Ltd required me to have excellent technical skills in programming languages such as PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Java, Linux Ubuntu, Nginx, and PM2. I also had to have strong communication skills to work effectively with my team and other departments within the company.
Overall, my experience as a Software Developer has been challenging but rewarding. It has taught me a lot about software development, teamwork, and communication. I am excited to continue working in this field and look forward to taking on new challenges and learning opportunities in the future.
