I just installed Meld through Homebrew. I assume that this is the version from this repository, although it said:
meld has been officially discontinued upstream.
It may stop working correctly (or at all) in recent versions of macOS.
Anyway, when I click on "Version Control" and then open one of my mercurial repositories, in the popup is says:
None
Git (not found)
Mercurial (hg not installed)
and some more VCSs ....
The "None" entry is selected, all of the others are disabled.
Git and Mercurial are both installed:
marc@MarcBook-Pro ~ % which git hg
/opt/homebrew/bin/git
/opt/homebrew/bin/hg
I cannot find anything in Preferences, nor anything in the documentation on how to configure the path to the VCS executables.
Is this the right place to report this? Should I install by downloading the installer here, instead of the deprecated Homebrew cask? (there is no mention of that deprecation on the homepage, though)
