• Clear research question - good
• Research has a theoretical foundation
• Using survey data - be sure to properly weight the respondents when generating descriptive statistics and summary measures of the population
• What is the causal mechanism you seek to test? Or the explanation?
• Running your own survey - tricky but a great approach if the data doesn’t already exist. You’ll have a lot of work early in the term to get the data in time for analysis and final paper submission
• Digital media component is a nice complement to the survey work, plus a good fallback option if the survey cannot be deployed in time
