how to export with proper render when using text piping?

Lets say if I do [[notebook:id|'name' ]] this renders as the full text when exporting to pdf, I expected it to just render 'name' - as it does when I load it in browse mode

I can achieve what i desire by doing [name](notebook:id) but!! is it possible to use the first method than the second? I wish to use the wikilinking rather than linking in some use case, and text piping is useful to hide the notebook:name part !

I hope its understandable lol, sorry for convulated way of saying this.

Seems like a pandoc issue; any pdf render engine that respects the wikilink formatting?
