It's not a bug, it's by design, this tool does not implement the https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api/tweets/lookup/api-reference/get-tweets endpoint. It is for the search endpoints.

Maybe worth trying twarc? https://twarc-project.readthedocs.io/en/latest/twarc2_en_us/#hydrate
