Makes two servings.
- 1/2 lb thinly sliced beef
- 2 T butter
Fry the beef in butter in a large frying pan.
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 T concentrated soup base (dashi or hontsuyo)
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1 T mirin
Slice the onion thin. When the beef is mostly cooked, add the onion, brown sugar, and sauces. Cover and simmer.
- cooked white rice
- furikake (optional)
Serve over white rice. Furikake makes a nice garnish.
This is version one of the recipe. Future versions will be saucier and a bit more flavorful.
