{title:Description}
{pstd}
The subcommand {cmd:print} is a convenient tool to display information about the
{cmd:pip} command and its environment. Most of the instructions available with
{cmd:pip print} are available in other subcommands as well, but the {cmd:print}
subcommand just makes it easier to find and remember.

{phang}
{opt timer} Each time {cmd:pip} is executed it records the time lapsed in each of its
subroutines. This function is intended for developers to make {cmd:pip} code more
efficient. However, it can also be used to measure Internet speed to download PIP data.
