How to disable Magic Key shortcut ?

Each time I type a / , a "search commands" bar opens. I didn't ask for it, I just wanted to type a slash character.

I understand that / is the "Magic Key" for better notes. How can I disable it or change the shortcut ? (for example, Ctrl + / would be great)

I just started to use Zotero last month and Better Notes. This has driven me crazy but I did find out how to turn off the forward slash "/".

If you open the Settings/Preferences in Zotero and on the left side you'll see the settings for Better Notes. In the section "Note Editor" you'll find a setting "Use magic key "/" to show command palette. You unselect and and restart Zotero. The forward slash will remain as a forward slash.

Unfortunately I don't know and can't find a way to change this from "/" to "Ctrl+/". I wish I could set it to something else too. Perhaps this makes sense as an enhancement? Do you wish to file an enhancement?

I created a bug report in the meantime and received a similar answer, but I'm sure this post will help other users in the future.

Indeed, being able to change the shortcut could be useful.

(Personnally I started with Zotero just like you a month ago, and for now I don't feel the need to use the commands palette, but maybe I will...)

For now it's not possible to open the command palette with shortcuts, as the / itself is sort of a shortcut and all the commands are accessible via the UI
