Self-porting of modern software to old Windows versions

In Supermium 124.0.6367.245 R2, in addition to the main wrapper library progwrp.dll, 4 additional wrapper libraries were added:

• pwrp_k32.dll (wrapper for kernel32.dll);
• pwp_shl.dll (wrapper for shell32.dll);
• p_advp32.dll (wrapper for advapi32.dll);
• and p_ole.dll (wrapper for ole32.dll).

win32ss, can I use the 4 above mentioned wrapper libraries and the CFF Explorer utility for self-porting of modern software to old Windows versions, including:

• Windows 95 OSR2;
• Windows 98 First Edition;
• Windows 98 Second Edition;
• Windows ME;
• Windows NT 3.1 SP3;
• Windows NT 3.5 SP3;
• Windows NT 3.51 SP5;

• Windows XP SP0/SP1/SP2/SP3;

I replaced the kernel32.dll library with pwrp_k32.dll in the IrfanView v4.67 installer using CFF Explorer, but on Windows XP SP0 this modified installer crashes when launched. win32ss, why does this happen?

Why some of wrappers will not work? Bacause not all function was implemented, was implemented as stubs (for working only with concrete software and not complicating the code), or anything other.
Sometimes its need to add functions manually.
