Error loading colour scheme...Bad XML

I am using Sublime Text v 3.1.1 build 3176 on a MacOS Mojave v10.14.3 and shortly after installing the Colbalt2 theme, I receive and error pop up stating:
"Error loading colour scheme Packages/Theme - Cobalt2/cobalt2.tmTheme: Bad XML"

I did add the following code from "2. Penultimately, open Preferences → Settings - User. Add the following lines..."
I needed to remove the package to get the pop to stop.
I have tried several times with the same issue.

Any idea what I can do to get the theme to work?
