TL;DR: Support the samsung remote control alternative to DDC like DispayBuddy does
I recently bought a license for BD to use pip to mirror to my drawing tablet. But I actually found it when looking for what I really, really REALLY want: a way of switching inputs on my Samsung smart monitor G70B Odyssey.
DDC doesn't seem to work at all - I've tried BD and a bunch of other free and commercial products - I've tried my M1 and M2 macbooks, I've tried the HDMI and DisplayPort inputs - no combination does anything.
DisplayBuddy has the option to control samsung smart tvs using their remote control websocket API: you have the samsung on the same LAN and the TV prompt's with a permission dialog. I bought DisplayBuddy for this use: but it has no way of scripting the remote control - and no one-click way of switching inputs.
This means, even with my KVM switch working, the fastest way to switch my monitor between macbooks is to talk to bixby :(
Is there any chance BD could add the samsung feature?
PS I have tried other options like samsungctl and even direct websocket writing with Postman /curl - none of them triggers the Permission dialog in the TV - DisplayBuddy is the only app that seems to achieve that: I suspect it's to do with some certification process with Samsung.
